The invention concerns a novel method for preparing cyclic arylboronates. More particularly, the invention concerns the preparation of arylboronates bearing an electroattracting group on the aromatic cycle. In a preferred embodiment, the method comprises reacting an aromatic halide and a halogenated cycloboronate, in the presence of metal zinc and a cobalt salt.
