<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector having a simple structure and a rigid lock mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: An insulator 3 has a mounting part (wiring part) 3e for arranging terminal parts (soldering parts) 2b of signal contacts and ground contacts 2 thereon. The mounting part has slot parts 3p corresponding to the terminal parts of the ground contacts. An undersurface shell 4 has a body 4a for covering the insulator and lock springs 4b engaging with a mating connector. The body has terminal parts 4a2 connected to the terminal parts of the ground contacts. When the undersurface shell is incorporated in the insulator, the terminal parts of the body are inserted into the slot parts and sandwiched between the terminal parts of the ground contacts and the bottoms of the slot parts, whereby the ground contacts are connected to the shell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
