<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having pixel constitution in which a numerical aperture is not reduced, and a method for driving the display device by which a duty ratio can be improved and the reliability of a light emitting element can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a signal line to which an analog signal is inputted, a first switch to be controlled by a first scanning line, a second switch to be controlled by a second scanning line, and the light emitting element connected to the second switch and constituted so as to select the first and second switches and input an analog signal in a first period in one gate selection period, select the first switch and input a reference signal from the signal line in a second period of the one gate selection period to turn on the light emitting element by the analog signal and the reference signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
