PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed monitor type digital camera for allowing the display image of a monitor to be easily viewed by enlarging a monitor screen. SOLUTION: In an image display device 20, a swelling part 22a to be projected outward is arranged in a part at the upper edge side of a display area in an outer periphery surrounding the display area, a transparent part 22b is formed at the prescribed part of the swelling part 22a, and a liquid crystal display panel 21 with a display driving element mounted thereon is arranged at the other part. A display driving element mounting part is arranged in a camera main body 1 to correspond to a space at the side of a finder ocular window 5 in the swelling part 22a of the liquid crystal display panel 21.
