PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for enhancing the stability and safety of communication. SOLUTION: A communication device 101 generates a keep alive message based on key information stored in a key information data base 113 at a predetermined interval and transmits the keep alive message to a communication device 102. The communication device 102 receives the keep alive message from the communication device 101, and a key information update section 157 updates (e.g. corrects) data stored in a key information data base 154 based on the keep alive message. Since the information stored in the communication device 101 and the information stored in the communication device 102 are shared, the interruption of communication caused by the mismatch of information stored in the communication devices 101 and 102 can be eliminated, resulting in the enhancement of the stability and safety of communication between both the devices.
