PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic filter prevented from being deformed or undergoing a crack due to a slit on manufacturing without depending on a material or the like used and having sufficient water-permeation performance. SOLUTION: The ceramic filter is provided with a large number of parallel circulation passages formed in a longitudinal direction of a cylindrical porous body and is constituted such that a liquid to be treated fed to the circulation passage flows out to an external space. A plurality of slit-like void parts are provided in a longitudinal direction of the porous body and an edge end of the circulation passage communicating with the void part is sealed. The ceramic filter is characterized in that all slit-like void parts are provided at positions where a ratio Sn/Qn of an opening area Sn (mm<SP>2</SP>) of the respective void parts of the plurality of slit-like void parts and a water-permeation rate Qn (m<SP>3</SP>/day at 0.1 MPa, 25°C) shared by the void part of the opening area Sn is 1.0 or higher and a ratio D1/Lo of the whole length Lo in a longitudinal direction of the porous body and a distance D1 two times the shortest distance from a center in the longitudinal direction of the porous body to any one of ends of the plurality of slit-like void parts becomes 0.5 or higher.
