PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light valve pixel adjustment device for holding each light valve without deforming it and for adjusting pixels. SOLUTION: In the light valve pixel adjustment device, each light valve is held by a light valve hold member. The light valve hold member has a first hold member disposed in contact with a side of the light valve and also in contact with the rear of the light valve, and a second hold member disposed in contact with another side of the light valve, which is opposite the side disposed in contact with the first hold member, and also in contact with the rear of the light valve. The light valve hold member brings the second hold member into contact with the light valve by using a screw member used for moving the second hold member parallel to the other member, and presses the second hold member against the light valve with an elastic body. The light valve pixel adjustment device has an actuator 111 having the light valve hold member fixed thereto and used for making light valve pixel adjustment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
