PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope for use in an occasion for celebration or condolence which envelope facilitates enclosing of paper money, makes a red-and-white paper string hardly damageable, and allows a variety of ornaments to be put on the envelope. SOLUTION: The envelope comprises a first bag in which note is directly enclosed, and a second bag on the outer surface of which the red-and-white paper string or a paper string ornament is attached and in which the first bag is inserted from the outside to be enclosed. When the note is wrapped in the envelope, the first bag is pulled out of the second bag, and the note is wrapped in the first bag, then the first bag is inserted in the second bag to put both bags together.
