The device has two aspirator units (50), and two transport units (40, 70) for transportation of material mixture. The unit (50) generates two airstreams, where one airstream (S1) is guided via a drop distance formed between the transport units, such that the materials of the mixture move relatively slowly via the drop distance for separation into the lighter and heavier materials. A shield (120) is placed between the aspirator units.
