<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent static electricity from being transmitted to a switch part by preventing damage and disassembly of a housing for a switch when an opening/closing member is closed. <P>SOLUTION: The opening/closing detector is provided with the switch part 31, the housing 32 for the switch and a cover member 33. The switch part 31 has a switch button 31a on which a part 23 of the opening/closing member 21 can be abutted. The switch part 31 is turned on or off by pressing or releasing the switch button 31a with the part 23 of the opening/closing member 21. The housing 32 for the switch can house the switch part 31 in a status that the switch button 31a is protruded outside. The cover member 33 is attached to the housing 32 for the switch near the switch button 31a.
