PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick film having≥200μm film thickness, high permeability and a narrow pore diameter distribution within the pore diameter range of 0.05 to 5μm. SOLUTION: The high-molecular weight polyolefin porous film characterized as follows is provided. A film before treatment is heat-treated in a first liquid having a boiling point not lower than a porosifying treatment temperature and dissolving the high-molecular weight polyolefin under conditions of Tp°C-T°C≤2°C and T1°C>T2°C when the heat-treating temperature is T; the dissolving temperature of the air-impermeable film is Tp°C; the boiling point of the first liquid is T1°C and the boiling point of a second liquid is T2°C under restraint and subsequently dipped in the second liquid compatible with the first liquid and having a lower boiling point than that of the first liquid, then dried and heat-set.
