PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamination device which can neatly finish a laminating work without trimming the edge after performing the laminating process to a recording medium, and a lamination method. SOLUTION: In this lamination method, a laminating material which is larger in size than the recording medium, is lapped over the recording medium in such a way that the laminating material covers the recording medium and both are thermally contact-bonded, then a lamination layer crowded out of the recording medium, is transferred to a transfer means arranged on the opposite surface side to the recording surface of the recording medium, and the transfer means is separated by setting it apart from the recording medium. In addition, the separation speed of the transfer means is delayed on at least the tip side, between the tip side and the rear end side of the recording medium in a direction where the transfer means becomes apart. Thus it is possible to neatly trim the edge of the lamination layer formed on the recording surface of the recording medium along the edge of the recording medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
