PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily grasp the control status of a multi-directional antenna and the receiving status of a TV broadcast signal in a TV broadcast receiver and a TV broadcast receiving system for receiving ground waves distributed from a plurality of directions. SOLUTION: The TV broadcast receiving system 1 is provided with a smart antenna 2 having a plurality of reception directions, and a TV broadcast receiver 3 for receiving a TV broadcast signal via the smart antenna 2 and measuring the reception strength of the received TV broadcast signal. The receiver 3 outputs a reception direction control signal for instructing a reception direction to the smart antenna 2, and a reception strength signal indicating the reception strength of the received TV broadcast signal to the smart antenna 2. Then, information regarding the effective reception direction of the smart antenna 2 and information regarding the reception strength of the TV broadcast signal are outputted on a monitor from the receiver 3, and the information is also outputted by an LED 22 from the smart antenna 2 side.
