PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve capable of holding generated gas, a liquid ejector equipped with that valve, and liquid ejection head cleaning method of liquid ejector. SOLUTION: A truncated conical protrusion 35 is formed in a valve chamber 40 and the upper surface 36 thereof is formed lower than the upper surface 31 of a housing 30. When ink introduced into the valve chamber 40 flows along the outer circumferential surface of the protrusion 35, convection takes place in the valve chamber 40. When a bubble A is mixed in the ink introduced from the ink pack of an ink cartridge into the valve chamber 40, the bubble A can be stopped at such a position on the upper side in the valve chamber 40 as it is not introduced into a second channel 37 easily.
