PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection device for quickly determining an abnormality of a low-pressure-shaft rotational speed sensor. SOLUTION: The abnormality detection device for a rotational speed sensor of a two-shaft gas turbine engine comprises: the low-pressure-shaft rotational speed sensor 11 for detecting the rotational speed N1 of a low pressure shaft 7; a high-pressure shaft rotational speed sensor 10 for detecting the rotational speed N2 of a high pressure shaft 4; an intake temperature sensor 9 for detecting an inlet temperature T1 of the engine; a low-pressure-shaft rotational speed estimation means 21 for estimating the rotational speed of the low pressure shaft based on relationship between an high-pressure-shaft rotational sensor output and an intake temperature sensor output; and a determination means 22 comparing the low-pressure-shaft rotational sensor output with a low-pressure-shaft rotational speed estimation means output to determine whether or not the low-pressure-shaft rotational sensor is abnormal based on the comparison result.
