POWER OUTPUT DEVICE, AUTOMOBILE MOUNTING THE SAME, DRIVING DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD OF POWER OUTPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly change a transmission installed between a drive shaft and an electric motor when an input limit is given to a battery accumulator such as a secondary battery and to suppress inconvenience that the electric motor rotates by unexpected high rotation when the transmission is changed.

SOLUTION: When a torque command Tm2* of the motor is smaller than a value obtained by adding a threshold Tref to a torque limit Tmin which is set based on an input limit Win of a battery at the time of increasing a request torque Tr* requested from the drive shaft while a state of the transmission installed between the drive shaft and the motor is switched (S120 to S140), a rate ΔT where a value T2 smaller than a value T1 at usual time is set is added to the previous request torque Tr*, and the request torque Tr* of this time is set (160 and S170). A driving point of the engine and the torque commands Tm1* and Tm2* of the motor are set by using the request torque Tr* (S240 to S290).
