PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short arc lamp surely preventing occurrence of trouble of breakage of: a brazing part between a conductive support member and each member; the conductive support member; a brazing part between a flange and a light extraction window; and the light extraction window. SOLUTION: This short arc lamp is provided with: a lamp body formed of an insulating material and having a recessed part with a reflecting surface formed inside; a negative electrode and a positive electrode arranged oppositely to each other with a predetermined distance at a focus position of the reflecting surface in the recessed part; a negative electrode-side power feed member disposed at an opening edge of the reflecting surface with the conductive support member for supporting the negative electrode electrically connected thereto; the flange disposed on the opening side of the reflecting surface with the light extraction window fixed to its inside surface; a metal member for connecting the flange to the lamp body; and a positive electrode-side power feed member disposed on a base end surface of the lamp body for supporting the positive electrode.
