PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erroneous erase preventing plug capable of uniformizing a force required for its slide. SOLUTION: The erroneous erase preventing plug is attached to a case body for an information recording medium and provided with a plug body 31 and a flat spring 32 for engagement which has a base end fixed to the plug body 31 and has a projecting part 32a for engagement which can be engaged with a recessed part for engagement formed at the case body on an outer surface in its front end side. The projecting part 32a for engagement is formed like an arc in a side view which projects out of the plug body 31 when viewed from the slide direction of the plug body 31.
