PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for a vending machine which has low-cost refrigerant circuit configuration, reduces exhaust heat to the outside air as far as possible, and consumes low electric power, in the vending machine which uses a heat pump type refrigerant circuit to perform energy-saving operation. SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of commodity storage chambers is set in a heating mode or a cooling mode, an internal heat exchanger of a commodity storage chamber set in an operation mode for heating in the case of an operation mode wherein cooling operation and heating operation are simultaneously performed is used as a condenser, one commodity storage chamber is designated as a priority chamber, and on the basis of a signal of a temperature detection means installed in the priority chamber, cooling and heating operation is performed.
