PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of enhancing the quality of a photographed image while enhancing measuring sensitivity in the detection of X rays, and a detection method using it. SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus is equipped with an X-ray sensor for detecting X rays transmitted through an object to be tested and an X-ray sensor signal processing circuit for processing the output signal of the X-ray sensor. As the X-ray sensor, a semiconductor sensor having a polarizing effect is used and a forward bias means for applying bias voltage to the X-ray sensor in a forward direction is provided.
