PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electric and hydraulic actuator for driving a valve capable of driving opening of an adjusting valve (1) stably (2) with high precision and (3) with high response, being light in weight, and having high efficiency. SOLUTION: In this electric and hydraulic actuator 10 for driving the valve for driving an output shaft 10A linearly by an electric motor 11, a thrust converter 13 for converting rotary movement into linear movement of the electric motor 11 is provided, hydraulic boosters 21A, 21B are provided on both sides of the thrust converter 13 to connect each of both side thrust shafts 17A, 17B of the thrust converter 13 with pistons of each hydraulic booster 21A, 21B, and a hydraulic cylinder 31 connected with both hydraulic boosters 21A, 21B is provided to connect the output shaft 10A to a piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder 31 and supply oil pressure in each hydraulic booster 21A, 21B to each of both side oil chambers nipping a piston of the hydraulic cylinder 31.
