PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving the drainage property and the on-ice/snow performance. SOLUTION: On a tread, this pneumatic tire is provided with a block pattern partitioned into a plurality of blocks by a main groove formed along the tire peripheral direction and a lug groove formed along the tire width direction. A plurality of width directional sipes 20 formed along the tire width direction and having both ends opened to the main groove, and a plurality of crossing sipes 21 formed along the direction crossing the width directional sipes 20 and not opened to the main groove, the lug groove and the width directional sipe are provided on the block 18. The length of the crossing sipe 21 is shorter than the length of the width directional sipe 20, and the crossing sipe 21 is provided with a wide part 22 of which area is partially large on a tread surface on its end.
