PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an adjustment pattern capable of adequately adjusting each of formation positions of dots respectively formed by a plurality of printing heads. SOLUTION: In this printer, one image is printed by at least two ink ejection section groups each having a plurality of ink ejection sections. The method of forming an adjustment pattern for adjusting positions of dots respectively formed by the different ink ejection section groups comprises a step of forming a first sub-pattern by a first ink ejection section group and a step of forming a second sub-pattern which can be discriminated from the first one by the second ink ejection section group different from the first one.
