PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording head support member capable of preventing glass components in a carbonaceous sinter from eluting into an ink and of stabilizing the viscosity of ink while enabling the particle-threshing to be inhibited and the clogging of ink-discharging holes to be prevented. SOLUTION: The support member at least whose surface exposed to the ink is composed of a graphite material with a heat conductivity of 50 W/(m K) or higher containing a carbon of 99.9 wt% or higher is provided.
