PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stencil printing apparatus attempting down-sizing of a plate cylinder, and capable of making the whole apparatus compact. SOLUTION: In the stencil printing apparatus wherein an original paper of a stencil printing plate is drawn out from a master roll consisting of a roll-like longitudinal original paper of the stencil printing plate to make a printing plate, and this printing plate is wound on the peripheral face of an approximately cylindrical plate cylinder to perform printing, the master roll is arranged by approximately intersecting the shaft center direction of the master roll at right angles in the shaft center direction of the plate cylinder, to approximately intersecting the drawing direction of the original paper of the stencil printing plate at right angles in the winding direction of the printing plate onto the plate cylinder. On the plate cylinder, a masking plate for masking an area except a printing region, and a printing plate positioned on the printing region which is not masked with this mask plate, can be wound. A transferring means for supporting and transferring the original paper of the stencil printing plate drawn out from the master roll is provided, and positional adjustment of the printing plate positioned in a printing region is performed by this transferring means.
