PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of a composite resin composition for adhesive capable of forming an adhesive composition having good adhesive force and cohesive force, excellent adhesiveness between a plastic film substrate and the adhesive layer and leaving no residual adhesive on an adherend after peeling the applied adhesive from the adherend. SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion of a composite resin composition for adhesive is produced by polymerizing a mixture containing (A) a radically polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer and a styrene resin (B-1) and/or a xylene resin (B-2) having a number-average molecular weight of≤1,000 in an aqueous medium containing a surfactant, a polymerization initiator and water as essential components wherein the polymerization is carried out after dissolving or dispersing 0.5-5 pts. wt. of the components (B-1) and/or (B-2) in 100 pts. wt. of the component (A).
