PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, capable of obtaining a high purity bisphenol F without increasing the molar ratio of phenol/formaldehyde so much. SOLUTION: This method for producing a bis(hydroxyphenyl)methane by performing the condensation reaction of the phenol with formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst is provided by feeding at least one liquid in 2 kinds of liquids consisting of a reaction raw material liquid or catalyst liquid and without containing the 3 kinds of the phenol, formaldehyde and acid catalyst at the same time, into a mixing space through in a plurality of fine flowing passages having 1-500μm width, also crossing the central axes of flow passages of the 2 kinds of liquids at one point for mixing 2 kinds of liquids and reacting.
