PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stilbene derivative excellent in compatibility with a binding resin and having sensitivity characteristics and solvent resistance by having a triphenylamine structure containing a hydrazone group in the molecule of the stilbene derivative and to provide a method for producing the stilbene derivative and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing the stilbene derivative. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the stilbene derivative having the hydrazone group, a method for producing the stilbene derivative and the electrophotographic photoreceptor containing the stilbene derivative. The stilbene derivative is represented by general formula (1) (wherein A is a divalent organic group containing an aromatic ring; a plurality of R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a 1-8C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a 6-20C substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; a plurality of R<SP>3</SP>to R<SP>7</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a 1-20C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or the like).
