PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component feeder capable of freely changing the rocking speed of a scooping plate, and reliably feeding components even when the rocking speed of the scooping plate is changed. SOLUTION: Components such as screws stored in a storage part 13 are supported and scooped by the rocking operation of a scooping plate 14, and transferred, arrayed and conveyed on a conveying rail 17. The scooping plate 14 is rocked by the drive of a stepping motor 4, and the stepping motor 4 is drive-controlled by the pulse current of the frequency corresponding to the predetermined parameter of the rocking speed of the scooping plate. For example, even by increasing the rocking speed of the scooping plate, the control of ensuring the stop time of the scooping plate 14 when the components are transferred on the conveying rail 17 can be performed thereby.
