Individual exchange or maintenance intervals are set for each wearing part by authorized service person. Computer connected to central controller contains software module to authorize computer user to alter values using special authorization code transmitted from computer to central controller. Only after code is received can settings be altered. Central controller in copier/printer has software module counter with separate counter for each wearing part. Computer connected to central controller contains software module to authorize computer user to alter values using special authorization code transmitted from computer to central controller. Counter counts to first threshold value, a warning threshold, and warning signal is provided for user to exchange wearing part. Second threshold value is the error threshold, offset from warning threshold by specific amount. |
