[PROBLEMS] An adhesive tape cutter for binding capable of reliably holding an adhesive tape even if a tape contracts through spring-back when cut, thereby enabling an object to be bound to be stably and circumferentially bound at a section to be bound without causing any trouble in subsequent binding operation. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The cutter has an insertion passage (34) for an object (W) to be bound, the passage being formed in a pair of supporting plates (12a, 12b); a pull-out passage (36) for guiding an adhesive tape (2), having been pulled out from a tape roll body (4), to the insertion passage (34); a rotation engagement member (40) rotated when an engagement section (40a) is in contact with the object (W) moving in the insertion passage (34); an adhesion member (42) on which the forward end of the engaging protrusion (40a) comes in contact and slides to adhere and engage the adhesive tape (2) to the adhesion member; an urging means (44) for press-joining, urging the adhesion member (42) toward the forward end of the engaging protrusion (40a); a tape cutting lever (50) pressed and rolled against the object (W) moving in the insertion passage (34) to cut by a cutter (54) the adhesive tape (2) in the insertion passage (34) below the adhesion member (42); and a tension receiving member (46) provided above the cutting lever such that the forward end part of the tension receiving member (46) comes in contact with the adhesive surface side of the adhesive tape, having been pulled out more downward than the adhesion member (42) to receive tension acting on the adhesive tape.
