<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural language analysis device capable of easily converting the structure of a natural language sentence. <P>SOLUTION: A conversion rule group for converting an optional conversion object structure contained in a structure of a natural language to a structure different from the conversion object structure is stored in a storage means, and a syntactic forest containing a plurality of syntactic structure trees is determined from a morpheme string of an input character string. A plurality of partial structures containing the syntactic structure trees containing at least one conversion object structure are determined from the syntactic forest. Based on the number of morphemes contained in the conversion object structure in each partial structure, the number of syntactic structural trees contained in the syntactic forest after structure conversion, and the number of conversion rules to be applied, a first partial structure to be structure-converted is selected from the plurality of partial structures by applying the conversion rule group, and each conversion rule for converting each conversion object structure contained in the first partial structure of the conversion rule group is used to convert the structure of the first partial structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
