<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correcting output of an air flow sensor of an internal combustion engine capable of correcting output drop due to adhesion of foreign matter on a detection part of the air flow sensor, performing control of EGR quantity or the like appropriately, and coping with a future stringent exhaust emission regulation. <P>SOLUTION: At a time of EGR cut, engine speed detected by a rotation speed sensor 18, estimated intake air quantity Q<SB>0</SB>estimated based on load W (accelerator opening in this embodiment) detected by an accelerator sensor 19, and difference ΔQ(=Q<SB>0</SB>-Q) from intake air quantity Q detected by the air flow sensor 16 are determined, output of the air flow sensor 16 is corrected in an increase direction if the difference ΔQ exceeds preset threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
