<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To originate a call from other telephone using the phone book information of a portable telephone. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 has a proxy dial request function for transmitting proxy dial request information including call origination telephone information for specifying a call origination telephone and call termination telephone information for specifying a call termination telephone to a proxy dial server 2 wherein the call termination telephone information is a telephone number selected from phone book information.
