<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract necessary data from a written slip or an image of it to incorporate the data into a data input program without modifying an existing data input processing program for outputting business form data onto a screen or printing them out. <P>SOLUTION: This business form data input/output processing device, which has a user program at least performing input of the business form data and storage of them and screen definition information independent of the user program, captures the business form data, which have no output layout information showing allocation of the data in the slip, and layout information from the screen definition information, and according to the layout information, creates a screen output information or printout information for the business form data to output it.
