PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device capable of setting an alarm sound before being read out without requiring complicated work, and capable of generating the alarm sound only when required. SOLUTION: The device comprises a memory 12 for storing a text in response to items to be read out, an alarm sound generating unit 20 for generating the alarm sound, a voice synthesis processing unit 17 for converting the text stored in the memory 12 to voice data, a voice outputting unit 171 for outputting the voice data or the alarm sound, and a controlling unit 21 for controlling the voice data to be outputted after the alarm sound outputted from the voice outputting unit in response to a reason in start of reading out when the voice data is outputted from the voice outputting unit 171.
