PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling the head drum assembly of a magnetic recording/reproducing device reducing the number of components discarded when assembling failures occur by simplifying an assembling process. SOLUTION: The method for assembling the head drum assembly of a magnetic recording/reproducing device includes pressing of a shaft into a fixed drum, assembling a motor stator to the fixed drum, and sequentially assembling a rotary drum assembly and a drum cover assembly in the shaft.
