PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system and a display device capable of displaying specific information without requiring equipment for authentication. SOLUTION: The information distribution system is equipped with the display device, a receiving terminal and a server, the display device is equipped with a means for storing identification information, a means for outputting the identification information, a means for inputting distribution content information and a means for displaying the distribution content information, the receiving terminal is equipped with a means for inputting the identification information, a means for transmitting the identification information, a means for receiving the distribution content information and a means for outputting the distribution content information and the server is equipped with a means for storing the distribution content information, a means for receiving the identification information, a means for authenticating the display device based on the identification information and a means for transmitting the distribution content information when authentication is successful.
