PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency converter in which replacement of an input filter is not required and the time required for replacement can be eliminated. SOLUTION: The frequency converter 10 comprises an input terminal 11 and an output terminal 12 arranged in a case, input filters 20/22 interposed in series between the input terminal 11 and the output terminal 12, frequency converting circuits 23/26/27, and an output filter 24. The frequency converting circuit 23/26/27 comprises a mixer 23, a PLL circuit 27 generating a local oscillation signal, and a voltage controlled oscillator 26. The input filter 20/22 comprises a tunable band-pass filter and determines a frequency band passing the input filter 20/22 in correspondence with the local oscillation frequency.
