PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact switch hardly affected by an external magnetic field without taking measure to apply a magnetic shield to a magnetism sensor, capable of reducing production cost, and to provide a position detecting device using the same. SOLUTION: The non-contact sensor 30 is provided with holes ICs 31, 32 and magnets 33, 34. The holes ICs 31, 32 and the magnets 33, 34 can relatively move between a position to be detected where the holes ICs and the magnets come close to each other, and a position distant from each other. The holes ICs 31, 32 are arranged close to each other so that magnetism sensing directions get into reversed from each other. When the magnets 33, 34 are moved to a detection position, they are located at the position close to the holes ICs 31, 32. The magnets 33, 34 are located so that the direction of magnetization get into reversed from each other. When the magnets 33, 34 are moved to the detection position, a magnetic field 38 having a direction same as the magnetism sensing direction 35 of the hole IC 31 is generated by the magnet 33, and a magnetic field 39 having a direction same as the magnetism sensing direction 36 of the hole IC 32 is generated by the magnet 34.
