PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method of an extrusion molded product capable of drying the extrusion molded product of an iron-containing powder, to which an organic binder is added, without exploding the same to develop the strength of the molded product after drying. SOLUTION: After the organic binder is added to and kneaded with the iron-containing powder, the resulting kneaded matter is subjected to extrusion molding by an extrusion molding machine and the molded extrusion molded product is dried. In this drying method, the extrusion molded product is pre-dried at a low temperature in an atmosphere wherein relative humidity is 80-100% and a temperature is within a range from the normal temperature to 60°C and the pre-dried extrusion molded product is finally dried in an atmosphere wherein relative humidity is 60% or below and a temperature is within a range from the temperature at the time of low temperature predrying to 150°C before cooled.
