PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust returning-type lawn mower usable also in a grass-throwing mowing work by solving the problem of conventional mower usable only by an exhaust returning-type machine. SOLUTION: A mowed grass transfer path 32 is placed nearly horizontally in the longitudinal direction of a cutter housing 12. An exhaust returning path 33 is placed adjacent and nearly perpendicular to the mowed grass transfer path 32, the exhaust inlet 61 of the exhaust returning path 33 is set to the rear upper face 21 of the cutter housing 12, and the exhaust inlet 61 is closed to guide the mowed grass to the lawn surface in the work to remove a grass bag 24 and discharge the mowed grass on the lawn surface. In the work to attach the grass bag 24 and return the exhaust from the grass bag 24 to the cutter housing 12, a discharge guard 23 to cover a part of the grass bag 24 and return the exhaust from the grass bag 24 to the exhaust return path 33 is attached to the upper end of the exhaust inlet 61 in a swingable manner.
