The invention relates to a milling tool (1) comprising a tool base body (2) and a number of cutting plates (3) held to said base body by means of a clamping element (4). The cutting plates each have a plate surface (9, 10) disposed in opposite planes and at least one lateral surface (11) forming a cutting edge (12) with a first plate surface (9). According to the invention, a geometrical bearing lug (13) protrudes from the cutting plate (3) opposite to the first plate surface (9) bringing the cutting plate (3) into a form fit with the corresponding contour support (16) in the tool base body (2).
