The invention relates to a method of producing containers (2), comprising: a forming step in which thermoplastic preforms are used to form containers (2) comprising a body (8) and a base (10); and, subsequently, a cooling step in which the formed containers (2) are cooled by projecting a jet (32) onto the containers (2) in a localised manner on a target area comprising the base (10) thereof, said jet consisting of a mixture of a gas and an atomised liquid which are both at a relative pressure of less than approximately 1 bar. The invention also relates to an installation (1) for the production of containers (2), which is adapted for the aforementioned method. |
