The present invention relates to a roll type adhesive tape. An adhesive tape with a strip continuously wound in the form of a roll around a hollow core thereof according to the present invention comprises a string for indicating a leading end of the strip of the adhesive tape. The string can be releasably bonded to an adhesive applied to one side of the strip, and has one end secured on a portion of the hollow core and a length to such an extent that the other end thereof extends across the leading end of the strip. According to the adhesive tape of the present invention, due to a simple and effective configuration without increasing the size of the adhesive tape, contamination of the leading end of the strip is minimized, and at the same time, the leading end can be easily found and peeled off using the string, thereby facilitating the use of the adhesive tape.
