The invention relates to a wheel-fixing system comprising an internal padlock in the body of a motor vehicle. The invention is of the type that comprises a support structure which is fixed to the body of the vehicle and which is provided with a central hole. The invention is characterised in that the system comprises a rubber nut having an internal spiral groove, which is fixed in the central hole in the support structure and which is designed to receive a metallic bolt with a circular bevelled head. According to the invention, said bolt serves as a means for retaining the spare wheel by means of the central hole in the rim. The aforementioned bolt also comprises a wrap spring which forms the thread turns corresponding to the internal spiral groove of the nut and which also acts as a damper and a noise suppresser. In addition, the end of the bolt is provided with a pair of notches which form two flat faces that are diametrically-opposed with a transverse hole, two grooves at the base of said flat faces and a conical end, all of which are designed to receive a solid protective cap through a longitudinal oblong opening in one face, said opening being offset in relation to a tangential hole that is in line with the transverse hole in the bolt for the insertion of the hook of a padlock. The invention also comprises an immobilising element which is disposed between the cap and the rubber coupling element and which ensures that the elements are secure and unable to move.
