<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform field-weakening control effectively and to generate torque of an electric machine sufficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The motor drive controller comprises first and second current command value calculating means, a voltage command calculating means, and first and second adjusting value calculating means. The first current command value calculating means comprises a first current command value adjusting means for adjusting the first current command value based on a first adjusting value, and a meas for limiting the adjusted first current command value to a predetermined value.
