<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk-like recording medium which can perform high-density recording of information signals, and also perform various processing following recessed parts formed closer on the surface. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disk 2 on which a tracking control guide groove 81a is formed for each track in a re-writable area where an information signal can be re-written, a recording layer 83 for writing the information signal is laminated on a substrate with the guide groove 81a formed thereon, and the recording layer 83 is made to be re-writable for the information signal with multi-beam near-field light at least in the re-writable area, and the recessed part 85a is formed on the outermost surface of the optical disk 2 according to the position where the guide groove 81a is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
