<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct an edge component data base which stores edge components of an object consisting of a plurality of substances. <P>SOLUTION: An edge component extraction part 101 generates input edge component groups 153 from a hyper-spectrum image 151. A collation part 103 outputs edge component groups which are neither registered in a spectrum library 105 nor registered in an edge component data base 107 among the input edge component groups 153 as new edge component groups 155. An input edge component distribution image generation part 111 generates input edge component distribution images for each input edge component. A new edge component distribution image selection part 113 selects an image corresponding to a new edge component among the input edge component distribution images as a new edge component distribution image. A user recognizes to what objects each new edge component correspond based on the new edge component distribution images, the hyper-spectrum images and high resolution images, determines and instructs propriety of registering each new edge component in the edge component data base 107 for each new edge component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
