<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar module having the characteristics of composite safety glass. <P>SOLUTION: A solar module as composite safety glass has a laminate which consists of (a) a glass plate, (b) at least one solar cell unit positioned between two PVB-based films, and (c) a rear cover. In the solar module, at least one of the PVB-based films has tear strength of at least 16 N/mm<SP>2</SP>. The solar module can be used as a building component of a facade, a roof material, a sunroom material, a component of a soundproof wall, a balcony, or a parapet wall, or a component of a window. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
